The following letter was received for publication from Brian Dunn who has been running the Inglewood Ball Hockey League since 1987. IBHL is currently donating proceeds from the sales of memorabilia to Bethell Hospice.

Hey IBHL Alumni,

As we are heading into season 39, we have been walking down memory lane, and it has had us thinking about all the players that have donned the IBHL jerseys over the past 38 seasons.

Inglewood Ball Hockey LeagueWhether you played in the first 10 seasons of sticks in the middle, pick-up ball hockey, or were part of the dynasty teams from Sports Unlimited, CVPM / Blue Team, or part of the first crowned champions of the modern IBHL – Gold / CEAV, or you just played and came out to enjoy the game, playing hard, fair and had a great time, or are part of the new teams, new dynasties like Foot Clinic & Orthotics. We are reminiscing about the nights setting up the satellite dish and TV in the parking lot so we could watch the playoffs on the big screen, the BBQs, and the late-night camaraderie and all the great times we have had for the past almost four decades! This is for you!

Inglewood Ball Hockey League MerchWouldn’t you like to have a bit of IBHL memorabilia? Shop now and get that piece of the IBHL that you always dreamed of, be it a cap, hoodie, T, Polo, Toque, Track Pant, ¼ Zip. Check out the IBHL store www.ibhl.ca/store and place your order.

Now is the perfect time to show your IBHL heritage, as all proceeds from the sales of the IBHL wear will go to supporting a local pillar, Bethell Hospice. Located right in Inglewood, Bethell Hospice provides essential palliative care and end-of-life support to individuals and families at no cost. To help bridge their significant annual funding gap, the IBHL is donating all proceeds from its merchandise sales to the hospice.

Current fundraising initiatives include:

• IBHL Merchandise: 100% of proceeds from the store (caps, hoodies, track pants, etc.) go to the hospice.

• TUFF Hockey Partnership: Players get $10 off every TUFF Hockey stick using code IBHL, and TUFF Hockey donates $10 per stick to Bethell Hospice—a donation the IBHL then matches.

• Player Fines: All money raised from player fines throughout the season is also donated.

So don’t hesitate to get your IBHL merchandise now!

Bethell Hospice and the IBHL thank you!
