Caledon Kings U15 AAA Capture National Bronze After Historic Provincial Championship Win

The U15 Caledon Kings capped off an extraordinary season with a milestone achievement for both the organization and the town of Caledon. After capturing Gold at the 2025 Ontario Ball Hockey Provincial Championships in the AAA division, the Kings earned the honour of representing Ontario at the 2026 Canadian Ball Hockey National Championships, held in Saint John, New Brunswick from July 21–25, 2026.

The Kings arrived ready to compete, showcasing discipline, skill, and the trademark Caledon work ethic. In Round Robin play, the team delivered decisive wins over Team Alberta (8–1) and Team Quebec (5–2), while battling to hard‑fought ties against Team New Brunswick (4–4) and New Tecumseth (2–2).

The Semi‑Finals brought a dramatic matchup against a strong Team British Columbia squad. In a tense game that was tied with six minutes remaining, the Kings ultimately fell 5–3 in a heartbreaking finish. Demonstrating resilience and character, the team regrouped overnight and returned with purpose – earning a Bronze Medal the next day. This marks the first national‑level medal in Caledon Kings history, a landmark moment for the program and the community.

The Kings also celebrated outstanding individual performances at the national tournament. Andrew Smales earned the distinction of Tournament Leading Scorer, while Liam Fior was recognized as the Top Goalie, underscoring the exceptional talent and leadership within this group.

Led by coaches Keith Smales and Mark Arduini, the 2011‑born cohort has now secured three Provincial Titles and added a National Bronze to their growing legacy. Even more exciting, the Kings have already qualified for the 2027 Canadian National Championships in Calgary, ensuring that this remarkable journey continues.
