ArtistWorks offers CPL cardholders “world-class instruction from Grammy Award-winning music professionals. ArtistWorks for Libraries offers users a guided path of video lessons containing everything they need to reach their musical goals. All levels of player are welcome!”
ArtistWorks offers instruction in a variety of musical genres. Whether you’re a fan of traditional, classical, electronic, or rock, you’ll find instructors that fit your preferences. You can explore lessons on how to play instruments, develop vocals, and understand musical theory. Videos are clear and easy to understand, and they offer a looping feature that lets you select a section of the video to repeat so that you can play along and practice as many times as you need to. Some classes include downloadable content as well to support your offline learning time.
Best of all, there’s no additional cost to you. If you’ve been wanting to try musical training but weren’t sure it was worth the expenditure, this is a fantastic option to try before you invest. You may have seen the recent news that the library provides $3.75 of value for every municipal dollar that’s invested, or $312.94 per resident.
