The Young Adults Friday Night Social is a new initiative brought to you in partnership by The Exchange and CAFFI (Caledon Area Families For Inclusion).

The Exchange is providing the space and CCS staff member Kim D’Eri, Coordinator at The Exchange, will assist with promotion. The CAFFI group will plan each event and will supervise, in teams of 4. There is no cost however participants do need to call and register with The Exchange so there is a list of who will be attending. There is a cap of 30 participants per event.

The events are open to all young adults in the Caledon community and CAFFI Chair Patricia Franks says “We would like to promote community inclusion, these events are allowing a safe opportunity for young adults to socialize”.

The January event gave the Humber Secondary School band Grooveyard an eager audience. The 6-member band volunteered for the evening and had the place hopping with jazzy dance music. This talented band included trumpet, keyboard, guitars, drums, clarinet and bass. Participants really enjoyed dancing to their music and look forward to the monthly event.
