Summer fun does not need to end on Labour Day weekend! On Sunday September 8th you can spread your wings and take part in an incredible local adventure. It’s annual Airport Day at the Brampton Flight Centre (BFC) at the Brampton-Caledon Airport.

The fun gets underway at 10:00 am and the sky really is the limit! You can stroll about, listening to live bands and viewing antique cars and aircraft. You will be able to chat with amateur-built aircraft owners. Try out a flight simulator. View birds of prey. It is truly a family-friendly event so you will even find a bouncy castle, trackless train rides, and face painters.

The goal of Airport Day is to promote the education and wonder of aviation through hands-on activities and exhibits with flight instructors and pilots. These experts will provide you with lots of information about the Centre’s training programs, flight camps for kids and air cadets.

You can grab a bite at the BBQ (cash only) or enjoy a sit-down meal at the fully licensed Brampton Flying Club Restaurant Café.

If you want to head up into the wild blue yonder you can try out an awesome $50 sightseeing flight!

The Great War Flying Museum will have their doors open and their planes flying. Entry into the Great War Flying Museum is $10 per adult, or $20.00 for a family (up to 4 paying adults). Children under 12 are free. Cash or e-Transfer only. Proceeds support the charitable organization’s critical work of preserving Canadian WWI aircraft and history.

The Brampton Flight Centre is owned and operated by the Brampton Flying Club, a not-for-profit organization. The Club was formed in 1946 and relocated to Caledon in 1969. The Flight Centre is an internationally recognized flight training school and produces many of Canada’s top pilots.

BFC believes that we can all make a difference in the lives of those who are less fortunate. They invite everyone who is attending Airport Day to take part in their food drive for Caledon Community Services by donating non-perishable food items and baby needs.

The Brampton-Caledon Airport is located at 13691 McLaughlin Road in Caledon. Airport Day is from 10:00am until 4:00pm on Sunday September 8th. Parking for the day is free.
