100+ Women Who Care Support Kidz in Caledon

Cheque presentation at CCS
Written by Patti Foley

On October 15th, Caledon Community Services was the grateful recipient of $7,700 from 100+ Women Who Care Caledon to support our Kidz in Caledon program. Kidz in Caledon is an annual campaign that provides much needed year-round support including nutritious food, supportive coaching and employment training for Caledon children and youth in need. It also provides the opportunity to experience life-changing opportunities like summer camps and recreational activities that they would otherwise not be able to experience.

In 2017, 267 children relied on CCS’ programs for food and nutritional support, counselling and family support, 61 youth received employment training skills and education and 106 children were enrolled in recreational summer activities and summer camp. This program does not receive any sustainable government funding and relies on the generosity of our caring Caledon community.

CCS and Caledon kids are truly grateful for the support of the 100+ Women Who Care Caledon, for helping to ensure bright futures for youth in our community!
