Calling all future community leaders

(CALEDON, ON) – The Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) will be hosting its’ annual Youth Leadership Camp from August 5th to August 8th. Students will be given the opportunity to engage in a variety of community activities while interacting with Caledon OPP officers.

If you are between Grade 9 and Grade 12, have demonstrated leadership abilities and are a team player, please forward a letter of interest and the application form to the attention of before May 1st. The letter should indicate the reasons why you should be chosen to participate. Application forms are available at Caledon secondary schools.

  • I think that’s a great idea. However, what makes the opp qualified to run such a course? When I saw the title of your message I thought maybe the Bolton Camp was being transformed to a leadership facility for training.

    • Hi Don. Nice to hear from you again, hope all is well. I guess leadership can take many forms and their goal to to engage youth in positive learning experiences within the community. I believe they have been offering this particular week-long summer effort for a number of years now but I would have to connect you to someone on OPP if you’d like more specifics. Do you want me to do that?
