Works like a charm – A Poem by Carol Good

Written by Carol Good

Purple coneflowers sprawl
spikey dark seedheads
on faded foliage

Decide daily
defer my urge
to clean up

Instead invite
a charm of goldfinches*
to a feast

*A group of goldfinches is known as a charm of goldfinches.
