WOMEN’S ADVENT RETREAT

AT ST. JAMES CALEDON EAST

This Women’s Advent Retreat takes place on Saturday, November 5 from 10 am to 3 pm at St. James Church, 6025 Old Church Road in Caledon East. This is your opportunity to reflect, restore and revitalize for the busy season ahead.  Also a chance to renew present relationships and make new ones in a calm pleasant atmosphere.

The guest speaker, Major Shari Russell, is the Territorial Indigenous Ministries Consultant for the Salvation Army, with a Bachelor of Arts from Booth University College and a Master of Arts from Providence Theological Seminary. She is Saulteaux (Anishinaabe) originally from Yellow Quill First Nation. Shari travels extensively in her role, and she loves to teach and help people to grow in their understanding of who God is and who He has made them to be.

Women Supporting Women

A table will be set up during the coffee time and lunch hour with items for sale made by women in developing countries. Through purchasing these items, you are supporting women to have independence. All proceeds go back to funding their continued efforts through “OTHERS Trade for Hope”

Registration fee for this event is $20 which includes coffee, muffins, lunch and events of the day. Registration deadline is October 30. All are welcome!
