Windows in Bolton Core Adding Holiday Sparkle

Bolton BIA announces Holiday Window Decorating Contest for BIA Businesses…..

Over the next few weeks, Bolton will start to become alive with holiday cheer as shoppers start searching for that perfect gift and attending seasonal events in the area. The Bolton BIA would like to celebrate the season by hosting the first annual Bolton BIA Holiday Window Decorating Contest in the downtown core.

All the businesses in downtown Bolton (BIA District) are eligible to enter the contest, all windows need to be completed before December 7th.

On December 14th, a team of independent judges will choose the contest winner based on the following criteria: originality/creativity, attractiveness and design/theme.

In addition to choosing an overall winner, we’ll be offering the general public an opportunity to get involved in the voting as well – via our Facebook page. Each business entry will be photographed and added to the BIA facebook page in a photo gallery. We will ask visitors to our FB page to vote on their favourite business entry.The “Fan Favourite” winning entry photo will become our FB “cover image” for entire holiday season. So take your holiday spirit and help make the downtown core and your business beautiful this Holiday! Put your best efforts into developing a beautiful holiday display window or doorway display with all of your products and services on display and by using the theme.

This year’s theme is Holiday Sparkle!

Though we encourage businesses to decorate the inside of their businesses, only window and doorway decor visible from street will be judged in this contest;

• Please enter the contest by sending an email to boltonbia@gmail.com; please include name, contact information, business/store name
• Displays cannot block sidewalk traffic or contravene Town of Caledon bylaws or guidelines
• Only businesses within the BIA district are eligible to enter the contest.
• Contest entrants must agree to allow their entry to be photographed and used by the Bolton BIA in
future advertising and promotional materials.
