The year 2015 was certainly one of transition for me! And through Just Sayin’ Caledon I found my voice once again. This community I love so much is full of passion and talent. And kindness and creativity. And Just Sayin’ has allowed me to continue to be in touch with it all. To hear and share the fascinating stories that are the real Caledon.
This year marks my family’s 25th year in Bolton. Compared with some of you, we are still newbies. There is a reason for that. Actually I’m sure there’s more than one. But, bottom line, that know-your-neighbour, help-a-friend, support-a-local-business, care-for-your-environment, appreciate-the-heritage, kind of small town character still exists here. Alive and well and doing fine!
In less than a year Just Sayin’ Caledon has blossomed to a combined 4,500+ community through social media and email. And my goal is to take that over 5,000 this year.
Coming up in the first quarter of 2016 Just Sayin’ will bring you interviews with more amazing Caledon personalities including:
Ramona Milano – Actress from Due South and Degrassi: The Next Generation
Allan Thompson – Mayor, Town of Caledon
Dave Forfar – Chief, Caledon Fire Department
Andrew Cresswell & John Winstone – Teacher & Student, Humberview’s High Skills Major Program
Shelley White – Executive Director, United Way of Peel
Emil Kolb – former Chair, Region of Peel
Steve Slutsky – Innovator, Crosscurrents Caledon
Jerry Gorman – long-time Bolton community volunteer-extraordinaire
Heather Broadbent – Caledon historian and former Heritage Officer, Town of Caledon
Shona Lauzon – Event Planner, Fundraising & Development, Caledon Community Services
……and more…..
So I hope you’ll stay along for the ride! And consider helping us grow by sharing our weekly newsletter with friends and family, and by looking for us if you are on Facebook or Twitter or LinkedIn.
My thanks to each and every one of you! Here’s wishing you a happy and healthy New Year!
Just Sayin’
