What are YOUR Ideas?

Earlier this week I attended a visioning workshop in Bolton, held by the Town of Caledon Parks and Rec staff, to help determine what the community sees as its priority needs for recreation, arts and culture. Of the series of 5 workshops held across the Town of Caledon only one remains; it is scheduled for Southfields Village School at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday May 5th.

However if you have not attended and cannot make the Southfields workshop it’s not too late to have your say! You can still have your suggestions heard by:

* Contacting the Town at caledonparksandrec@gmail.com to request the set of 4 key questions and respond by May 11th

* Complete an online survey HERE before May 29th

During the Bolton workshop my group spoke about the need for one connecting trail to link all of our amazing trails across Caledon. We talked about the importance of an arts facility in central or east Caledon. And we talked about the need for a larger pool and an additional hockey arena in Bolton and (another fantastic idea) a town square with an outdoor rink as the focal point.

Do you agree or disagree with our ideas? What are your suggestions for what Caledon needs? Please take a few minutes and chime in. This is your opportunity to have a voice in our future.
