What is “Vampire Books for Blood?”

Author Scott Burtness created the Vampire Books for Blood event in 2014. It’s held annually from October 1st through to the 31st.

The event brings vampire book authors together for a shared goal: to raise money for Canadian Blood Services and the American Red Cross.

Participating authors each pledge to donate at a portion of their sales of their book(s) during the month of October to the American Red Cross or Canadian Blood Services. Each author has an individual agreement with the Red Cross or Canadian Blood Services and makes an individual donation at the end of the event.

The “Vampire Books for Blood” event website allows readers to easily browse and find books from participating authors. By purchasing a participating author’s book, a reader knows that a portion of the proceeds will be donated by the author to the American Red Cross or Canadian Blood Services.

For my part, I am donating a portion of the proceeds of my sales of Beautiful Monster—The Exchange (Book One). Beautiful Monster can be found on Amazon HERE

ON A PERSONAL NOTE: if it was not for Canadian Blood Services, I would have died in 1982. When I was a teenager, I had a reaction to a prescription for tonsillitis and began to bleed internally. My platelet count was so low, the doctors were certain I was going to bleed from my brain. They prepared my family for the worst. However, God had different plans for me. The biggest reason for my survival was because of the two blood transfusions I was given. I am honored to give back to the organization that played a huge part in saving my life. The proceeds of my sales will be going to Canadian Blood Services.

Thank you for your support. It’s in you to give.

Sincerely,
Jeanne Bannon, Author
