The following letter from the CCRSA is an update to their letter published on JSC on October 20, 2026, titled “CCRSA Group letter discusses false accusations and group’s intention to distribute Mayor’s Gala funds to local non-profits.”
Update to community:
The Caledon Community Road Safety Advocacy (CCRSA) group directors have an update to our previous open letter.
We have been contacted by Mayor Groves and been asked to return the donation from the Mayor’s Gala.
Despite our previous commitment and transparency to distribute the funds to four local organizations who make valuable contributions to our community – we will return the funds as the Mayor has requested.
That said, our efforts to improve road safety, eliminate illegal truck yards and bring driving simulators to Caledon high schools will continue with our independently raised funds, where our books are always open for anyone to review.
Please stay tuned to our Facebook and Instagram pages for how you can help the four local organizations who we were planning to donate to. As always – Let’s keep it loud, Caledon!
Thank you,
Caledon Community Road Safety Advocacy Group Inc
(CCRSA)
