OPPORTUNITY TO MANAGE A RESTAURANT IN CALEDON
The Brampton Flying Club (BFC) Restaurant-Café is the “hub” of activity at the Brampton-Caledon Airport. It is a friendly, family style restaurant that serves the members of the Brampton Flying Club as well as the community, seven days a week.
It has a capacity of 86 seats on the main floor and 34 on the outdoor patio and is permitted to sell liquor and beer. There is a pilot gift shop and café that adds to the synergy and ambiance.
The restaurant is currently open for breakfast, lunch and special events. The café is open until evening with coffee, snacks and pastries.
There is opportunity to discuss different arrangements for the management of the restaurant and delivery of services that may include dinner, catering, or the sale of local and home baked goods.
The responsibility of the new restaurant manager will be to coordinate the entire restaurant operation, including front-of-house, back-of-house, meal preparation, staffing, menus and special events. Our current Chef is willing to work with the new manager.

Requirements:
• Proven working experience as Chef or restaurant manager
• Extensive food and beverage knowledge • Proficiency in English
• Time management & sense of urgency, flexibility to perform shift work
• Creativity
• High level of personal cleanliness
• Enjoys cooking
• Good communication skills
• Able to work under pressure and stay calm in difficult situations
• Computer literacy and familiarity with restaurant management software
• Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
• Acute financial management skills
• Culinary school diploma or related degree is preferred Special Skills/Training

• First Aid- CPR
• WHMIS
• Food Handling
• Working knowledge of Canada Labour Code
