Search for crayfish, aquatic bugs, and more!

Get up close with these and other fascinating creatures who make their home in the river. We’ll use nets and magnifying glasses to examine these creatures before releasing them back into the creek.

This program is FREE and generously supported by Peel Region! Registration is necessary. Reserve a spot.

Meeting location is at the parking lot within Bolton Camp, 13540 Caledon King Townline South, just north of King Street

July 23 from 1:00PM until 2:30PM

Family Nature Program (Ages 6+)

  • Beginner level information
  • Activities and concepts that are friendly for all ages
  • Intended audience includes children, youth and adult
  • Children must be accompanied by adults
  • Please leave pets at home, except for service animals

Be Prepared

  • The program will take place outdoors, please dress appropriately for the weather.
  • Bring a personal water bottle and snacks if needed.
  • Water shoes or rain boots to go into the creek!
  • Download iNaturalist app!

  • TRCA cancellations due to low registration (< 6 participants) or extreme weather: registrants will be contacted by email and phone at least 2 hours prior
