The Town of Caledon invites residents to participate in the 2016 budget process. There are a number of opportunities to attend budget meetings and engage throughout this important planning period.
“The 2016 budget process is underway and I invite all Caledon citizens to be involved. Throughout 2015, Council has engaged in creating a comprehensive Workplan to guide Town activities and budgeting priorities,” said Mayor Allan Thompson. “We have heard from citizens and determined priorities based on community, staff and Council input. On behalf of Council and staff, I encourage and welcome all residents to become collaborate on the 2016 Budget.”
You’re invited to our Town of Caledon 2016 Budget Open House
On December 1, 2015 at 7 p.m., Town staff from each department will be available in an Open House style forum for one-on-one discussion. Small group or individual discussions are a great way to get involved and understand details of projects that will guide Town activities. After the Open House, staff will present a more formal overview of the Town’s 2016 budget forecast, including constraints and opportunities. This will be followed by a formal question and answer period.
The following is a list of dates and times for all Council meetings on the 2016 budget. All meetings will take place at the specified time and date at Town Hall at 6311 Old Church Road in Caledon East.

How to Engage in the 2016 Budget Process in the Town of Caledon:
Residents wishing to appear before Council to express their concerns or ask questions during the Budget meetings are invited to attend the December 1, 2015 meeting at Town Hall. Please note that all meetings are open to the public and that the Town Hall and Council Chamber are fully accessible and inclusive spaces.

Accessibility for all citizens at Town Hall
The Council Chamber is an inclusive space with key accessibility measures, such as power door operators, a height adjustable podium for presentations and delegations, areas for wheelchair stationing and assistive hearing available for public use. A fully accessible unisex washroom is located in close proximity to the Chamber.
All materials provided for the use of Budget Meetings (Agendas, Minutes, etc.) are available in an alternative format for accessibility accommodations. Special Accommodations can also be made with advance notice for individuals who would like to attend the Meetings.
Assistive listening devices for use in the Council Chamber are available upon request from the Staff in the Town’s Legislative Services Section. American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreters are also available upon request.
