Achill is pleased to announce that we will be performing live this season for the first time in 3 years!
Please join us at Westminster United Church in Orangeville as we celebrate the holiday season with a concert that includes a wonderful array of bold, lively and serene pieces. Our featured work, A Winter Day, by Canadian composer Sarah Quartel, celebrates the passage of time through one glorious winter day, invoking visions of a frosty day and glistening snow.
Our guest director, Jenny Crober, will lead us through the programme, which will also include delightful pieces such as Christmas Lullaby, Hine Ma Tov, Fum Fum Fantasy and more. Accompanying us will be our long-time collaborative pianist, Nancy Dettbarn.
We will be joined by guest musicians: The Bells of Westminster handbell choir, directed by Shirley Jemmett; Angela Dong (cello); and Sean Derraugh (clarinet).
