Dirt to Delicious Camp Counsellor

Position: Dirt to Delicious Camp Counselor
Reports to: Camp Coordinator
Employment type: Temporary Contract
Wage: $15 per hour
Timeframe: 10 hours of planning, preparation and evaluation (prior to camp). 40 hours per week during camp (July 24 – August 4, 2017)
Total hours of employment: 90hrs
Location: Palgrave United Church and Albion Hills Community Farm
The Dirt to Delicious Camp Counsellor responsibilities include:
- Work with Camp Coordinator to plan and prepare for a food and farming focused summer day camp for children aged 9-12 years old
- Provide supervision and support to camp participants
- Deliver camp programming in coordination with Camp Coordinator
- Work alongside staff and volunteers at Albion Hills Community Farm and Palgrave United Church
- Assist with set up and clean up before and after camp activities.
- Participate with evaluation of camp program
*This position requires the completion of a Vulnerable Persons police screening
