The Town of Caledon has initiated a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment to look into improvements to the stormwater management facility (Pond #16) and adjacent dog park located at 12889 Coleraine Drive, Bolton.
The study is following the Class Environmental Assessment Schedule A+ process.
The purpose of the study is to outline all expected and necessary improvements required to rehabilitate the stormwater facility. The study will identify a preferred design for the facility, as well as include a re-designing of the adjacent Dog Park.
In developing a recommended stormwater design, the study will consider a range of options for the stormwater management pond including, but not limited to:
- Restoring the facility to its original condition to provide flood control
- Re-designing that pond for water quality improvements
The adjacent dog park will also undergo a re-design to improve user experience. The design will consider a range of improvements including, but not limited to:
- A small dog area, improving accessibility
- A permanent fenced perimeter.
The study is currently planned as a Schedule “A+”, in compliance with the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (October 2000, amended 2007, 2011 & 2015).
