Did you know that Town of Caledon, in partnership with Special Olympics Ontario, is offering 2 great courses – Active Start for ages 2 to 6 – and FUNdamentals for ages 7  to 12.  And right here in Caledon at Macville Public School!

Registration opened in August but there are still spots available! You can register online here or by calling 905-584-2272 extension 7327

Special Olympics – Active Start

Ages: 2 Yrs. to 6 Yrs.

Fees:
– GP Sports Preschool 10Wks $95.00
– GP Sports Preschool 10Wks NR $111.00

Description:
Active Start is a program offered in partnership with Special Olympics Ontario, designed to help develop basic motor and movements skills in preschool-aged children with a disability and set the foundation for becoming active for life. Through games, sports and play, participants will have an excellent opportunity to improve physical, social and cognitive abilities. Parent/Caregiver involvement is encouraged.

Special Olympics – FUNdamentals

Ages: 7 Yrs. to 12 Yrs.

Fees:
– GP Sports Youth 10Wks $95.00
– GP Sports Youth 10Wks NR $111.00

Description:
FUNdamentals is a program offered in partnership with Special Olympics Ontario, designed to introduce physical literacy, physical fitness and the importance of nutrition by using sport-specific activities to improve basic motor and sports skills for youth with disabilities. This program takes a step-by-step approach and provides participants with an opportunity to improve their physical, social and cognitive abilities, setting the stage for an active lifestyle. Parent/Caregiver involvement is encouraged.
