Police Week Activities in Caledon

(CALEDON, ON) – Police Week in Ontario is an annual event dedicated to promoting crime prevention, recognition and awareness of policing services in the community. This year May 12th to the 18th, 2013 will be designated Police Week in Ontario. This year’s theme is “Walk the Digital Beat….a New Era of Engagement”.

​The Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has many activities planned during Police Week. The following is a calendar of events:

​Prior to police week activities, the Crime Prevention Sub-Committee of Policing Advisory Committee of Caledon (P.A.C.C.) will be conducting an awareness and education campaign in the Village of Bolton promoting the “Lock it or Lose it” program on Saturday, May 11th. Also, Caledon officers will be hosting the “Prescription Drug Drop Off” event at the Caledon Detachment from 10 am to 3 pm.

May 14th
9:30 am – Policing presentation to Kindergarten class at Fairlawn Public School.
1:30 pm – Policing presentation to Casa Children at Countryside Montessori and Private School in Bolton.
6:30 pm – Monthly Child Car Seat Clinic at Detachment, 15924 Innis Lake Road. By appointment only, please call 905-857-3304.

May 15th
9:30 am – “Heads Up” presentation to Grade 4 classes at Palgrave Public School.

May 16th
9:30 am – “Heads Up” presentation to Grade 4 classes at St. Cornelius School.
1:15 pm – Policing presentation to Kindergarten class at Fairlawn Public School.

May 17th
8:30 to 3:30 – “Detachment Commander for the Day”

May 18th
9:00 – 12:00 – “Bike Rodeo”- Caledon East Community Complex.
