OPP Issue Travel Warning

CALEDON OPP WARNING MOTORISTS TO STAY OFF THE ROADS

(CALEDON, ON) – Due to the severe weather conditions, the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is warning motorists to stay off the roadways unless the matter is emergent. Strong winds coupled with white-out conditions and poor visibility are making road travel difficult on Caledon roadways.

Police are asking residents to stay off roadways and limit travel unless absolutely necessary.

Motorists who disregard this warning put the safety of the Police, Fire and Emergency Services personnel in jeopardy when responding to stranded motorists.
