It has to be one of the most terrifying experiences a family can live through…a house fire.
Flames raging, smoke engulfing, as you struggle to maintain the sense of calmness and inner strength required to get yourself and your family to safety.
On December 7th a fire in a townhouse complex on Stella Crescent in Bolton left three families alive but looking at Christmas, and the near future, in a totally different way.
The Town of Caledon’s Deputy Fire Chief Samantha Hoffman confirmed to local press that three units were damaged and estimated the loss at about $2,000,000. The cause of the blaze had not yet been determined and is under investigation.
While Hoffman also reported that all three families did have insurance the community is rising to the occasion to assist with immediate needs.
Caledon Community Services (CCS) has offered assistance with food, clothing and household items.
