An announcement from CrossCurrents Caledon…

We are two performances away from completing our fiftieth, and  were proud of it. And we are so appreciative of your interest and support! We have an amazing lineup of performers already booked between now and the end of October. They are not necessarily every two weeks apart, as in the past.

By relaxing the rigid schedule, we are taking some pressure off our volunteers. And often, it is very challenging to ensure we have high-calibre musicians, who may not be available on a given date. But we are still moving forward at full speed!

The performances will still be on Friday evenings, but you will know which Fridays from the posters you’ll get a few days before. We are now confident we can continue to create musical magic for all of you. Apart from that, what makes us successful is you showing up  40, 50 or 60 at a time. So, looking forward to seeing you!

Here’s the provisional lineup as it looks now. We’ll be adding two more performances to the list:

July 21 Pablo Gutierrez: Authentic Cuban Salsa
August 11 Juneyt: Flamenco/Mediterranean Jazz
September 15 Ed Vokurka: Jazz Violin Ensemble – with Abbey Scholzberg
September 29 Max Layton: singer, songwriter, poet. Son of renowned Canadian poet Irving Layton
October 27 Shawna Caspi: singer, songwriter
