Company’s comin’! Thanksgiving weekend often means preparing an amazing meal for visiting family and friends, but it can also be an opportunity to show off some of the things you love about Caledon. Why not consider giving them a taste of the Caledon countryside in addition to your home cooking?
Mount Wolfe Farm is setting the stage for the perfect country outing against a backdrop of gentle farmland and vibrant fall colours. Saturday October 10 is their annual Thanksgiving Farm Fest. Entertain your guests for free with a hayride tour or stretch your legs with a self-guided walking tour.
Children will love pumpkin carving or expressing their creativity at the colouring station. Kids of all ages will get a kick out of meeting the chickens! And there will be a beverage and food stand as well.
Food doesn’t get any fresher than when you get it from the farm. Plan on spending some time checking out the fresh produce in the farm market and the array of locally produced foodstuffs from sourdough bread and scrumptious pastries to syrup and honey, grass-fed beef and free-range organic chicken. Perhaps you’ll be able to make farm-to-table a part of your Sunday dinner. There are also unique items and crafts. Cash and credit card are accepted.
Ready to make this Thanksgiving get-together one that’s extra special? Be sure to visit Mount Wolfe Farm’s Thanksgiving Farm Fest on Saturday October 10 from 11:00AM until 4:00PM. Just head to the farm at Old Church Road and Mount Pleasant Road and follow the signs to the farmstore.
