Moonshine musing – A Poem by Carol Good

Writing by moonlight
wonder what magic
will be revealed
like mithril
in middle earth

A teasing riddle
an ominous omen
a romantic fantasy
scribbled
outside the lines

Decipherable
in the harsh light of day?
overwritten chicken scratches
powered by this pen
and its pointed shadow

Impact of meteor showers
an almost super moon
claiming reflected light
as its own
I’ve known so many full moons
