Hope Lives Right Here at Home
Mars Canada Doubles Your Donation to Support Caledon Families in Need
Hunger and poverty are not distant problems—they live next door, affecting hundreds of Caledon neighbours right now. This winter, more local families than ever are grappling with rising costs, and many are being forced to make unimaginable choices: whether to put food on the table or keep the heat on. But there is hope, and that hope begins right here at home.
Caledon Community Services (CCS) is launching its annual Season of Hope campaign with a generous match from Mars Canada. Every dollar donated between now and December 31, 2024, will be matched dollar-for-dollar by Mars Canada, up to $25,000.
“Mars Canada is proud to partner in the Season of Hope campaign once again this year, addressing food insecurity in our community. Guided by our Purpose, ‘Tomorrow Starts Today,’ we are dedicated to creating meaningful impact in the communities where we live and operate. Together, with Caledon Community Services, we’re bringing hope and transforming lives in Caledon” said Tamar Nersesian, Director of Corporate Affairs, Mars Canada.
“Thanks to Mars Canada’s incredible support and our generous community, we can bring warmth, food, and hope to more families in their time of need,” said Geraldine Aguiar, CEO of Caledon Community Services. “With CCS’ Exchange Food Bank usage at an all-time high, already supporting more than 1,300 neighbours and welcoming new families daily, the food insecurity crisis is real in Caledon. It’s not going away. It will take an intentional collective effort to provide urgent relief. Your kindness goes beyond filling the plates. Thanks to Mars Canada, we can bring hope into more homes struggling this season and beyond. Together, we can ensure no one in Caledon goes to bed hungry.”
