LIGHT UP THE RUNWAY 2016 – THURSDAY, AUGUST 4, 2016
On Thursday, August 4, Brampton Flight Centre will host the third annual Light Up the Runway Walk benefiting Bethell Hospice.
We will once again Light Up the Runway with 400+ candles for a magical evening stroll. This is a leisurely event; the length of the runway is 3500 ft. Come, enjoy a summer’s eve under the stars and make new friends. Fingers crossed, we will have a repeat of last year’s glorious weather!
Bethell Hospice is the only residential hospice serving Caledon, Brampton, Dufferin County and West Woodbridge, offering residential palliative care since 2010 and community palliative care since 1991. It is unique, as there are no fees to stay at Bethell Hospice or to participate in any of their Community Care Programs, and no one is ever denied care due to financial situation. You can take part in this event in many ways: sign up as a participant, create or join a team, be a virtual participant, sponsor a participant, purchase a commemorative candle or volunteer to help during the event.
All ages are welcomed, but please note participants 14 and under must be accompanied by a participating adult. Participants between the ages of 15 – 18 require a signed waiver from a consenting adult. We are animal lovers too, but we do ask that you refrain from bringing pets to this event.
We look forward to seeing you on August 4, 2016! With your efforts and generosity, we aim to reach (maybe even surpass) our fundraising goal of $30,000 this year, and like last year, 100% of donations collected will benefit Bethell Hospice.
