To celebrate Parks and Recreation Month Councillor Mezzapelli and I invite you to join us for a Bolton Discovery Hike on Saturday June 23rd. Starting out in the historic Bolton core a Hike Ontario Certified Hike Leader will guide us on this easy-to-moderate 4-kilometer hike heading east along the Humber River towards the Townline. Please note that not all sections meet accessibility requirements.
This is a 2-1/2 to 3 hour hike as we will take time to point out and enjoy:
– natural phenomena such as the perpetual natural springs from the bank of the Humber,
– historical features such as the McFall Dam,
– new features such as the refurbished Sneath Road pedestrian bridge, and
– upcoming enhancements in the Bolton core
We will be gathering at 9:30 a.m. in the municipal parking lot just west of Queen Street, on the northeast corner of Stern and Ann, in downtown Bolton. Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and footwear. A sunhat, sunscreen and water are recommended. No dogs allowed on this particular hike.
Hi Patti! I plan on attending so see you there!
