During the weeks of Dec. 24 and Dec. 31, residents in Caledon are advised that garbage and recycling (blue box and green bin) will be collected one day later due to the holidays.

Caledon’s CRCs will be closed on the following days during the holiday period:
Monday, Dec. 24, 2012
Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2012
Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012
Monday, Dec. 31, 2012

Christmas Tree Collection :

Christmas trees will be collected during the week of Jan. 7, 2013 on regular waste collection days. Residents may also drop off their Christmas trees at CRCs – regular drop-off fees will apply.

Holiday Waste Collection Exemption Period :

The Region of Peel offers residents a two-week Exemption Period* for waste collection from Monday, Dec. 24, 2012 to Friday, Jan. 4, 2013.

As part of the Two Bag Standard program, the Region of Peel offers three curbside waste collection Exemption Periods each year. During these periods, residents may place unlimited quantities of acceptable waste at the curb on their scheduled waste collection day – no garbage tags required.

Regular drop-off fees apply at all Community Recycling Centres (CRCs) during Exemption Periods.

*Residents in the Bi-Weekly Collection Pilot Project areas should refer to their collection calendars.
