Bolton Regional Councillor Good to Know

Heads Up Caledon

Caledon OPP invites you to join us at the launch of an exciting new pedestrian traffic safety program in the Town of Caledon.

The “Heads Up” program was designed to place elementary students inside a miniaturized traffic intersection complete with streets, roads signs and working traffic signal equipment. The purpose of this program is to expose the students to a realistic traffic intersection environment. Uniform officers will teach critical safety practices and driver safety behaviours.

“Heads Up” participants believe that this realistic lesson plan is sure to equip children with the best possible strategies to prevent collisions and to ensure their safety as they expand their travels.

What? A demonstration of portable traffic signal equipment with student participation. Official thanks to participants and primary sponsors.

Who? Elementary Students, Staff and Administrators, Town Officials, Region of Peel, Generous Primary Sponsors Guild Electric Limited and Fortran, OPP, ROAD WATCH members.
