GTA West Land Use Study

The Town of Caledon is holding an Open House to obtain public input on the early stages of the GTA West Land Use Study.

Background:

The Ministry of Transportation is undertaking an Environmental Assessment for a proposed Transportation Corridor which will include a 400-series highway and a transitway. The Study Area for the Environmental Assessment extends across south Caledon.

The Town of Caledon is undertaking a Land Use Study to identify locations for strategic employment lands along the proposed GTA West Transportation Corridor. The Town has retained Meridian Planning to complete the Study.

Purpose:

The purpose is to introduce the project and gather community input on potential alternative locations for future employment land and criteria for evaluating the alternative locations.

Format:

The Public Open House will include an open house format for one-on-one discussions with Town staff and the consultants, followed by a formal presentation and question-and-answer session.
