Congratulations to everyone that was involved with the impressive sign project at Humberview. The sign was completed just in time for our graduating class of 2024 to add their signature to the sign before they leave the school.

The sign was an idea that was spearheaded by students and supervised by Humberview staff. It was designed by students in our Design class and manufactured and welded together by students in the Manufacturing classes at Humberview. The construction students did the excavation for the sign and completed the form work and poured the concrete for the base. It really was a team effort!

We had great support from community partners. Peel District School Board, Regalia Concrete Ltd. helped with the concrete pour and finishing, Summit Laser helped with the laser cutting of the steel and Rotogran International Inc. helped us out with logistics and painting of the signs.

The Art students of Humberview will now take on the sign as a continually changing art piece that will be painted and decorated in different ways throughout the school year. The sign weighs over 1000 pounds and will be a great new addition to the school for many years to come. I HEART HV!
