Meet Our New Bambu Lab P2S 3D Printers
Faster, more flexible 3D printing has arrived in our Makerspaces!
Whether you’re creating a prototype, replacing a broken part, making something for a hobby, or simply curious about 3D printing, there’s a new tool waiting for you at the library.
We’re excited to introduce the Bambu Lab P2S 3D printer, now available to book at the Margaret Dunn Valleywood Collaboration Studio and the Caledon East Creativity Studio.
One of the biggest improvements customers will notice is speed. The P2S can complete projects faster than our older Ultimaker models, giving you more opportunity to bring your ideas to life during your Makerspace visit.
You can also add more colour to your creations! With the AMS 2 Pro, customers can print using up to four colours of PLA filament in a single project, opening up new possibilities for colourful models, signs, decorations, prototypes and more.
Preparing your project is more streamlined, too. With Bambu Studio, finding a 3D model and preparing, or “slicing,” your file for printing is easier and more integrated, helping you move from an idea to a finished print.
Ready to give it a try?
The P2S can be booked for up to three hours at a time. Before your first booking, you’ll need to complete a quick online certification covering the essentials you need to know to use the new printer.
If you’re new to 3D printing or would like some extra guidance, we’re here to help. Customers can book a 1:1 support session with Makerspace staff to get familiar with the printer, prepare their files and build confidence before starting a project.
You can also drop by during our Maker Studio Support hours for additional help:
- Tuesdays, 1:00–4:00 p.m. at Margaret Dunn Valleywood
- Thursdays, 1:00–4:00 p.m. at Caledon East
