Eat Local Announces Festive Events

Festival Mulled Wine Jelly Canning Bee – Sunday, November 18, 1:00pm- 5:00pm, Palgrave Community Kitchen, 34 Pine Avenue. As the holiday season draws near, don’t miss this opportunity to stock your pantry with delicious homemade gifts to bring to your next holiday gathering. At this workshop, hosted in partnership between Toronto and Region Conservation and Eat Local Caledon, participants will learn how to make festive mulled wine jelly from scratch. From choosing wine and spices, to preparation and canning, this hands-on workshop will guide participants through the process of making their own jelly. We will also make homemade wheat crackers. Everyone will take home six jars of jelly and some crackers for their home pantry! Cost is $30 per person. Registration is limited, click here to sign up. All materials will be supplied. HAYville at the Palgrave Christmas Bazaar – Saturday, November 17th, 10am-2pm, Palgrave Community Kitchen, 34 Pine Avenue. The Eat Local Caledon youth entrepreneurial program (HAYville) will be at the Palgrave United Church’s annual Christmas Bazaar selling cookies, squares, salsas, pickles, jams, homemade crackers, root vegetable chips & more! This event features a huge variety of crafts and food items available, and is a perfect place to find unique holiday gifts.

Inglewood Farmers’ Market Holiday Bazaar– Saturday, December 1st, 11am-3pm, Inglewood Library and Community Centre, 15825 McLaughlin Road. Come say hello to your favourite Inglewood Farmers’ Market vendors at the first-ever Inglewood Farmers’ Market Holiday Bazaar. Lots of holiday goodies and gifts, including baked goods, jams & preserves, jewellery & crafts, soaps & beauty products & much more. In addition, there will be lots of winter-storage vegetables to get you through the holiday feasting season.
