Bolton Regional Councillor Good to Know

Come Bowl With Me

Big Brothers Big Sisters believes that every child should have the opportunity to reach his or her full potential, both as individuals and citizens – that by doing so, they will not only do well, they will also do good.

Celebrating its 100th Birthday this year, Big Brothers Big Sisters has been making a positive difference in the lives of our nation’s youth by developing and implementing a wide range of mentoring programs.

Serving as role models, mentors teach by example the importance of giving and giving back, of staying in school, and of having respect for family, peers and community. Each time a child is paired with a mentor something incredible begins – a life-changing relationship built on friendship, trust and empowerment.

For a number of years I have been participating in the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Peel Bowl for Kids Sake . It’s a wonderful fundraiser for this great organization, and you can join in as well. On Monday March 4th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Skyview Lanes in Bolton we’ll hit the lanes once again for this great cause.

If you’d like to put together a team and bowl, or sponsor yours truly by pledging donations, please go to http://www.kintera.org/faf/home/default.asp?ievent=1050106
