You are invited to attend a Public Meeting to be held by the Council of The Corporation of The Town of Caledon to consider a proposed Official Plan Amendment. Staff and external review agencies have prepared documents to present at this meeting. Your attendance and comments at this meeting are welcome as it is your opportunity to learn about the proposed Official Plan Amendment and express any opinions that you may have.

Coleraine West Employment Area is west of Coleraine Drive to the half lot line of Concession VI north of Mayfield Road to beyond Healey Road.
North Hill Supermarket site is specifically the land located at the northeast corner of Regional Road 50 and Columbia Way.

Proposal

The Town of Caledon is undertaking a proposed Official Plan Amendment to set out policies for the subject land as part of settlement area boundary expansion of the Bolton Rural Service Centre.

Purpose and Effect

The purpose and effect of the proposed Official Plan Amendment is to set out land uses, environmental management and servicing requirements, heritage, eco-business and community design policies which will serve as the basis for the land use changes within the areas described above.

A copy of the proposed Official Plan Amendment and information and material are available for public review at the Development Approval and Planning Policy Department, Town Hall, during regular business hours. Written submissions may be mailed or personally delivered to the Development Approval and Planning Policy Department and will become part of the public record.

Notification

If you wish to be notified of the adoption of the proposed Official Plan Amendment, or of the refusal of a request to amend the official plan by Council, you must make a written request to the Clerk of The Corporation of The Town of Caledon, 6311 Old Church Road, Caledon, Ontario L7C 1J6.

Appeal Procedures

If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to the Corporation of The Town of Caledon before the proposed Official Plan Amendment is adopted, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Council of The Corporation of The Town of Caledon to the Ontario Municipal Board. If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to The Corporation of The Town of Caledon before the proposed Official Plan Amendment is adopted, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Municipal Board unless, in the opinion of the Board, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.
