  • Hi Patti

Why are the warming centres closing at 8:00 p.m.? Does that mean the majority have hydro back?

What happens to people who do not have friends or relatives to go to stay overnight especially with the extreme cold tonight.

    Stay warm

    • Hi Valerie. We are merging the 3 locations to one (the Fire Hall) as we have had minimal uptake. If the Fire Hall has a response larger than they can accommodate they have been provided with phone numbers for key staff people so that they can contact them to re-open the Wellness Centre (CCRW).

  • I have two spare bedrooms for a single mother and children – or an elderly person or couple (after 8:00 tonight) to stay warm rather than sleep in the fire hall. I have 2 cats so I hope that does not cause an issue with any one who needs shelter. Please contact Patti Foley or Mayor Morrison for my home phone number or contact the fire captain – he has my home phone number on his voice mail.
