CALL FOR NOMINATIONS FOR CALEDON’S WALK OF FAME
The Town of Caledon is now accepting nominations for the 2013 honoree for the Caledon Walk of Fame. Since 1999, Caledon’s Walk of Fame has been honouring local individuals who have made a significant contribution to the quality of life – not only in the local community, but nationally and internationally as well.
Recent inductees include:
Norman Jewison; Oscar-winning film director
Elmer Iseler; conductor, arranger, founder of the Elmer Iseler singers
Robert and Signe McMichael; founders of the McMichael Canadian Art Collection in
Kleinberg
Farley Mowatt; world-renowned author
Conn Smythe; sportsman, former owner of the Toronto Maple Leafs
James B. Douglas; actor, producer, director, writer, and heritage activist

Nominees must be Canadian citizens who have achieved local, national and international
recognition for their paid or volunteer contribution in one or more of the following areas:
Arts & Culture: organizing, instructing or promoting arts and culture
Sports & Leisure: community, sports, youth or other recreational groups
Philanthropic & Humanitarian Causes: service clubs, social services or health care
Environmental Initiatives: innovative programs or initiatives addressing environmental
issues
Other categories may be considered as submitted. All nomination forms must be submitted to the Town of Caledon by 4:00 p.m. on Friday March 15, 2013. Nomination forms are available online at www.caledon.ca/recreation from the Parks & Recreation Department at Town Hall, or by calling 905.584.9254
