Have your say on Caledon’s Green Scene
Kicking off June 8th at the opening day of the Caledon Farmers’ Market, from 9am-2pm at the Albion Bolton Fairgrounds, the Caledon Green Scene will be making its way across our community this summer. Launched in June 2012, the Green Scene is a display tent featuring information about various environmental issues and tips on how to make a difference in your everyday life. Topics past and present include water conservation, anti-idling, energy consumption, invasive species and local food.
This summer, residents are being asked to help choose a look that will be used as the face of the Green Scene as it continues to foster environmental awareness in Caledon. At various events until August 30th the Green Scene booth will be displaying the three looks in the running—vote for your favourite and enter to win one of three great local prizes: dinner at the Belfountain Inn, golf at Glen Eagle, and a spa treatment at the Millcroft Inn. Planned visits include the Farmers’ Market, Caledon Day, Strawberry Festival and Midnight Madness. The list will continue to grow throughout the summer, so make sure you check out the Green Scene—and have your say!
