Caledon Trees That Tell a Story

Lonely Tree - Bolton Mill ParkThe Heritage Caledon committee is taking the initiative to identify and place into an inclusive database, culturally significant trees located in our community.  A heritage tree is a prominent community landmark, a “witness of yesteryear”, associated with historic events, persons or a period in time. While heritage trees are identified by both their size and age; their historical and cultural significance are the most important features.   Our heritage trees form part of the true events of our history, our folklore and legends.  Whatever the story is, as it relates to a tree they are looking to record it, and include it in Caledon’s history.
