Officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a fatal collision on Highway 9.
On May 11, 2023, shorter after 9:00 p.m., Caledon OPP and emergency crews responded to a three-vehicle collision on Highway 9 involving two motorcycles and a pickup truck. One driver, a 51-year-old from Shelburne, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Another, a 52-year-old female from Orangeville, was airlifted to a Toronto-area trauma centre and later succumbed to her injuries.
Highway 9 between Mount Wolfe Road and Caledon/King Townline was closed for several hours while the OPP Technical Collision Investigators and Reconstructionists assisted with the investigation.
