Caledon OPP asking for Assistance

On Saturday, July 29, 2017 at approximately 2:33 a.m., officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to the corner of Highway 50 and Ellwood Drive in Bolton for a report of a stabbing.

Officers arrived on scene to find a male suffering obvious trauma. The male was transported to an area hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. The victim has been identified as Alexander LEMON, 36, of Toronto.

Connor G SHARPE, 21, and Venezia Pia Caterina MAGGIORE, 22, both of Bolton, Ontario have been charged with Second Degree Murder.

Police are asking the residents of Bolton to assist the investigation by locating a knife involved in this homicide. It is believed a knife was discarded somewhere in the town of Bolton between 2:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday July 29, 2017. Residents are asked to search their properties and pay attention while in common areas of the town for any knife. Should anyone come across any such item they are asked not to touch it and contact police immediately.

The investigation is ongoing by members of the OPP Caledon Detachment Major Crime Unit, OPP Central Region Support Team, OPP Central Region Forensic Identification Services, OPP Emergency Response Team and the OPP Canine Unit, under the direction of Detective Inspector Martin Graham of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch.
