Town of Caledon invites you to TORONTO 2015 Mascot Creation Challenge Day!
The Town of Caledon is pleased to announce that as part of our participation in the TORONTO 2015 Pan Am Games, our library will host a special Mascot Creation Challenge workshop Saturday, February 9, 2013. Activities will take place at the Albion Bolton Branch located at 150 Queen Street South in Bolton from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The Town has invited special guests Jason Burnett, Pan Am and Olympic silver medallist, and David Arrigo, acclaimed sports artist, to join in the fun. This interactive workshop encourages youth ages 6 to 16 in our community to design a mascot for the TORONTO 2015 Games.
The Challenge is on and it runs until March 8, 2013. Applications will be available at all branches of our libraries, and full details and online applications are available from the website at www.toronto2015mascot.ca . Participants are asked to work in groups of two to six participants.
The chosen mascot will help tell the story of the TORONTO 2015 Pan Am and Parapan Am Games, engage and capture the imagination of the public and in particular children, come to life in merchandise including soft toys, pins, T-shirts and tickets, and be used for media and engagement events up to and including the Games!
Caledon Public Library invites all the youth in our community to join us for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, as the Town of Caledon gears up to become host to the 2015 Pan Am Games.
