Local residents Jim Firth and his wife Samantha have asked me to forward the following message about a Caledon family that needs help………..
You may have heard of the fire in Caledon that destroyed a family’s home on December 26th at the corner of King Street and Bramalea Road. It was the home of a very close friend of our daughter, Natalie. Fortunately, none of the family was harmed except sadly, the loss of one young dog. They are a family consisting of a mother and four children ranging in age from 16 through 7. The family is now in a holding pattern as insurance goes through their normal due diligence for situations like this and they have been rotating between the homes of neighbours and family members until they can relocate.
As the family waits for insurance to respond they are going through the process of re-establishing the basic necessities to get through the next few weeks. Jim and I have established a bank account at the Royal Bank that will accept contributions in trust for the family. The mother, Gerri Guerriero, and her four children are the named beneficiaries. All funds raised will be released to them at the end of 30 days.
Please consider making a contribution if you are able to. Any amount is appreciated. You can make a contribution in person at any of the local Royal Banks by mentioning the account for family of “Gerri Guerriero” or contact Jim KJFIRTH@HOTMAIL.CA or Samantha at sferenscga@aol.com
