Chambers of Commerce and Boards of Trade fill a vital role for businesses in their communities. By doing so they also benefit the broader community as a whole. The Caledon Chamber of Commerce strives to create a positive business environment and to provide leadership, access to business information, and to deliver valued programs and services.

Next month the Caledon Chamber is proud to be hosting the 2024 Business Summit with a focus on the future of business in Caledon. An impressive line-up of speakers promises to make the day memorable and informative.

A key feature of this year’s summit is a special panel of local experts discussing dealing with change. The panel includes:

Chris Stoikos who previously founded Beard Club, growing to $50M in sales in 4 years before exiting. A serial entrepreneur Chris has been featured on Shark Tank for Cool Box and was recently showcased on the home page of Forbes.com.  He’ll discuss overcoming the subconscious obstacles and conflicts that prevent you from living your dream!

Cynthia Weeden, a passionate business leader with over 30 years of strategic experience. Her career includes senior management roles at global software companies. She founded FutureShield in 2005.  Cynthia’ clients include government and critical infrastructure, and her mandate is to deliver technology solutions that make our communities safer.

Shaun Rath, Business Centre Manager, BDC, who is an experienced commercial lending professional and exceptionally motivated leader with over 25 years in business development in commercial banking and advisory services. Shaun has held leadership roles in small business and mid-market lending, strategy and operations and has led the BDC’s team in the Brampton, Bolton, Caledon, Orangeville area since 2021.

Councillor Christina Early, a dedicated advocate for the Caledon community who is currently serving as Regional Councillor for Wards 1, 2, and 3. With over 30 years of experience in the Retail Pharmacy industry and holding various executive positions, Councillor Early has garnered insightful knowledge while fostering professional relationships, creating thoughtful solutions, and serving as a community-led leader.
