Caledon Chamber Concerts is pleased to present pianist Oni Buchanan. Ms. Buchanan will perform music by Rachmaninoff, Debussy, Ravel and Cox in a program titled “Looking Glass Music: Reflection & Resonance”.
Oni Buchanan brings grace, agility and intensity to a wide range of piano repertoire. Although she specializes in music by contemporary women composers such as Cindy Cox, she is also very much at home with the music of French composers from Couperin to Ravel and with the polyphonic genius of Bach and Schumann.
Ms. Buchanan has performed sole recitals in cities throughout the U.S., in Canada and in South America. She received her Bachelor’s degree in music and English from the University of Virginia, and her Master’s degree in piano performance from the New England Conservatory of Music. Three years of her music studies were taken at the University of Iowa School of Music while pursuing her M.F.A. in poetry from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop. Ms. Buchanan’s discography includes three solo piano CDs on the independent Velvet Ear Records label.
The concert takes place at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at St. James’ Anglican Church, Caledon East. Tickets are $30 for adults and $15 for students 16 years and younger and may be purchased in advance at Forster’s Book Garden, Howard the Butcher and BookLore. Tickets will also be available at the door on the night of the concert.
Please let me know if you plan to attend. This helps me plan appropriately for the reception following the concert.

Would love it if Dvorak is also played 🙂
