Caledon Chamber Concert’s End of Season Finale

Caledon Chamber Concerts invites you to join them for this season’s final concert. Pianist Elizabeth Schumann will present works by Beethoven, Vine, and Liszt. The concert will take place on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 8:00 p.m.

Elizabeth Schumann has a diverse career portfolio of projects, recordings, and performances which have brought her all over the world as recitalist, chamber musician, and concerto soloist. The first place winner of both the Bösendorfer International Piano Competition and the Pacific International Piano Competition, Ms Schumann has won over 25 prizes and awards in other major national and international competitions, including the Cleveland International Piano Competition and the Hilton Head International Piano Competition. She has performed solo recitals and chamber music concerts worldwide, in such venues as the Kennedy Center, Vienna’s Bösendorfer Saal, Toronto’s Koerner Hall, and Montreal’s Place des Arts. Passionate about creating public access to the arts, she founded Piano Theatre, an artist group formed to engage audiences with innovative combinations of classical music, theatre, literature, art and technology. Piano Theatre’s recent tours of the US, Canada and Australia were acclaimed by critics and audiences alike.

The concert will be held at St. James Church, Caledon East. Tickets are $30 for adults, $15 for students 16 years and under, and may be purchased at BookLore, Forster’s Book Garden, and Howard the Butcher. Tickets may also be available at the door. To help me anticipate seating requirements, I would be grateful if you let me know if you plan to attend. Thank you.

Caledon Chamber Concerts gratefully acknowledges funding support from the Town of Caledon, and the Ontario Arts Council, an agency of the Government of Ontario.

Regards,
Gordon

  • Thank you Patti for sharing this, I will be heading over to Forester’s Book Garden to get tickets for my son and I. He has just started taking piano lessons and I’m sure he’d love to see this performance. I wouldn’t have known about this event otherwise so thank you again for bringing this to my attention. 🙂
