Caleb Flaxey Joins Caledon Olympians in Sochi

The Town of Caledon is celebrating Caledon resident, Caleb Flaxey, who is representing Canada in Sochi, Russia as a member of the Canadian Curling Team!

Caleb is the fifth on a team featuring Brad Jacobs, Ryan Fry, E.J. Harnden and Ryan Harnden who began playing together in the 2012/2013 season. Flaxey and the Harndens are also cousins.

“Caleb is the third of our local athletes to represent Caledon at the 2014 Olympics in Sochi,” said Mayor Marolyn Morrison. “It is such an honour to recognize such high achievement in sport. I know all of our residents will join Council and staff to support Caleb and to celebrate his commitment to his sport. We wish him an exciting, safe and memorable journey,”

Members of the public are encouraged to drop by and sign notes of encouragement to Caleb as he represents Canada at the 2014 Olympic Games. The Town flag will be available for signing by Caledon residents and other supporters from Tuesday,
February 11 to Friday, February 14, 2014 in the Town Hall Atrium at 6311 Old Church Road in Caledon East.
